VRCA Chairman Ken Jarvis OAM with keynote speaker Captain Rob Buck Managing Director of Port Phillip Sea Pilots and VRCACEO Captain Peter McGovern. Peter and Rob revealed how the volumes of trade through Geelong Port have increased massively in recent years and similar major increases are expected in 2012-13. Future developments of the Port to sustain further growth are expected to include a new Yarra Street pier to birth large visiting cruise ships and improved interstate rail connections.
